Hi I'm Dina and I am a 6 month old Jacalier (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Jack Russell).  I came from a pet shop in Gympie called Mary St Pets and even early on I knew I was destined for great things.  The owners of Mary St Pets gave me my own human, his name is Carl Hebel.

Carl is 70 years young and a marathon runner, he has run with the great Cliff Young and many more.  I started training with my human and have become very fit.  My first outing was to run to the top of Mount Kosciusko on Anzac Day to watch the sun come up and help the humans to remember something that is very emotional to them.  Next was 125km run in the Perth Marathon, I did well and Carl was okay as well.  We have just run in the Gold Coast Marathon and I really enjoyed all the attention the ladies gave me - Carl did too.

Our next great adventure will be the Gympie to Caboolture Pre-muster Marathon which will be in conjunction with the pet parade.  This will take place on the 21st of August 2010 - all you pet's should get involved.  More information will be available soon.

The next challenge will be the Chicago Marathon in October 2010 and I hope to be with my human to help him along. If you want to know more about our plans or would like to send us a message please email Carl using the contact form on this website.

But wait there is more - October 30th is Athens to Marathonis (which by the way is where our runs got their name) and on October 31st we go back the other way, Marathonis to Athens.

From there we are off to Dubai on the 1st of November and then we are back in Australia to do the Brisbane to Coolangatta Marathon, but the greatest run of my life will be around Australia and we will do 42km per day for 500 days!  I just hope my human can keep up the pace and not let me down.
