BANDED PIPEFISH
Banded PipefishDoryhamphus dactyliophorus. The Banded Pipefish are close cousins of a seahorse and excellent tank mates. Grow to around 15cm. The Banded Pipefish has a straight, elongated body and similar to other seahorses and pipefish, the male is equipped with a specialised brood puch rather than the female. Optimum temperature range 24 - 30°c.
CORAL SEAHORSE
Coral SeahorseHippocampus barbouri. The Coral Seahorse is a very active and lively breed of the seahorse. The have a medium coronet with five sharp spines and also have sharp spines on their back. This breed also have a double cheek, eye spines and a medium length snout. Optimum temperature range 24 - 26°c.
GOLDEN RACER
Golden Racer SeahorseHippocampus reidi. This magnificent seahorse is only recently cultured in Australia. A very active and lively seahorse to have as a pet in a tank. Can grow to 15cm as an adult and most Golden Racer's have a thick long snout with a low and often large coronet. Optimum temperature range 24 - 26°c.
JANSS'S PIPEFISH
Janss's PipefishDoryrhamphus janssi. Another good companion for your seahorse and another species only recently cultured commercially. This Janss's Pipefish has a long, slender body with an elongated, tubular mouth. Its tail is oval, and flag-like. The body of this species is orange while the head and anterior portion of the trunk are blue. Optimum temperature range 24 - 30°c.

POT BELLY SEAHORSE
Pot Belly SeahorseThe big-belly seahorse or pot bellied seahorse, Hippocampus abdominalis, is one of the largest seahorse species in the world with a length of up to 35cm and males have an extremely prominent brood pouch. These seahorses often have eye spines and cirri (spikes on the head sometimes called fronds. Pot Belly's have a deep body, thick long tail, large dorsal fin and long snout. Also feature a low crown or coronet. Best fed on frozen Brine Shrimp, Mysis Shrimp, Cyclops or Rotifer. Optimum temperature range 19 - 22°c.
RAINBOW BRUMBY
Rainbow Brumby Seahorse Hippocampus angustus. One of the most colourful seahorse varieties, all like most seahorses the Rainbow Brumby will change colour to suit its environment. Can grow to 16cm as an adult and has a tall spiny crown and spikes. Optimum temperature range 24 - 26°c.
REEF RIDER
Reef Rider SeahorseA never before produced hybrid cross between the Coral Seahorse and the Rainbow Brumby. They possess all of the colour of the Rainbow Brumby but are as active and lively as the Coral Seahorse.
YELLOW SEAHORSE
Yellow 'Kuda' SeahorseHippocampus kuda. If kept with other fish, care must be taken to ensure that seahorses receive enough food, as they are not as nimble as traditionally shaped fishes. These captive bred specimens readily eat frozen foods such as Mysis Shrimp and Brine Shrimp. The Yellow Seahorse can grow to 18cm as an adult, have a low coronet and ten to be smooth with low rounded bumps. The kuda has a deep head and thick snout. Optimum temperature range 24 - 26°c.
