Barramundi prefer live food (feeder fish, earthworms or yabbies), but can easily be trained to accept pieces of meat or frozen prawns. When raised in aquaculture ponds, barramundi are trained to eat a dry diet of pellets.
GOLDEN EELTAIL CATFISH
Also known as Hyrtl's Tandan, the Golden Eeltail is an active schooling catfish native to northern Australia. It is suitable for community aquariums, particularly with medium to large fish, (large Golden Eeltails may occasionally eat small tetra sized fish.) These catfish are easy to care for, accepting most water conditions and foods. They appreciate occasional feedings of blackworm or bloodworm. Golden Eeltails can grow to 20cm, but usually remain smaller.

CAPE ARNHEM BANDED RAINBOW
Banded Rainbows are quite variable with many geographic variations existing, fish from Cape Arnhem (north eastern tip of Arnhem land) are light blue with a dark blue mid lateral stripe. Like most rainbows, they are best viewed with the light source at the front of the aquarium, rather than at the rear. They are excellent aquarium fish and appreciate regular feedings of vegetable/"green" foods. Maximum size is usually about 12cm.

CRIMSON SPOTTED RAINBOW
The Crimson Spotted Rainbow can handle water somewhat cooler than other rainbows, with temperatures down to 15deg being acceptable. The Crimson Spotted Rainbow is a greenish fish with the typical red and yellow rainbow-like horizontal stripes, and a crimson-red spot on each gill plate. Also known as Duboulay's Rainbow, maximum size is 10-11cm.
GOYDER RIVER BANDED RAINBOW
Characterised by their red fins and tail, and the red stripes along the length of the fish. Their peaceful nature makes them an almost ideal fish for most community aquariums of tropical fish. Best colours are displayed when the fish are in a well-planted tank with a dark gravel bottom. Enjoys regular feedings of vegetable/"green" foods, usually grows to about 12cm.
THREADFIN RAINBOW
The Threadfin Rainbow is a small fish native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea. Males are easily identifiable by their spectacular long fins. Best kept with peaceful species of similar size such as Spotted Blue-Eyes and small tetras in a well planted aquarium. Grows to about 4cm.
