Mary St Pets gathers two types of information
1. Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions to receive our electronic newsletters, requests to receive more information about a pet or product, or to participate in our message boards and interact with our site.

How Mary St Pets gathers information and what we do with it
1 - OPTIONAL VOLUNTARY SUBMISSIONS
We offer the following free services, which require some type of voluntary submission of personal information by users:
A. Electronic Newsletters (Dispatches).
We will offer a free electronic newsletter to users. Mary St Pets gathers the email addresses of users who voluntarily subscribe. Users may remove themselves from this mailing list by following the link provided in every newsletter that points users to the subscription management page. This information is never shared and is removed from our database if you unsubscribe from the service.
B. Request for Information.
Our site allows you to request information regarding pets and products that we sell in store. Information collected includes preferred contact method and contact details. This information is only used for the purpose of fulfilling your request and will not be used again unless you have directly requested further notifications or information. The details will not be used for any contact other than requested and will not be deemed as authority from you for Mary St Pets to send you further communications or marketing material. This information is never shared with a third party.
C. Message Boards.
Users of the site's Message Boards must register for these services (free of charge) in order to post messages, although they needn't register to visit the site. During registration the user is generally required to supply a username, password, and email address. Only the information you choose to 'post' will be displayed on the site. D. Surveys.
Mary St Pets may occasionally conduct user surveys to better target our content to our audience or to enhance the user experience of our site. We never share any information about specific individuals with any third party. Overall results of the surveys may be published to the site.
2 - AGGREGATED TRACKING INFORMATION
Mary St Pets tracks user traffic patterns throughout our site. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. Mary St Pets does break down overall usage statistics according to a user's operating system, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).
Mary St Pets use tracking information to determine which areas of our sites users like and don't like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well each page performs overall. This helps us continue to build a better service for you without actually collecting personal information from you.
